When completed in 2013, the High Speed Rail will cut the travelling time from Bangkok to Rayong to about an hour from the present 3 hour drive.
This will enhance the accessibility of Rayong from Bangkok with estimated ridership to be close to 15,000 trips per day in 2017, after operating for 4 years and doubling to approx 30,000 trips per day by 2032.
